The best ways to travel from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh city / Sai Gon (and vice versa) are by public bus or private taxi, both are budget-friendly and convenient.

Public buses are very easy to catch, you can buy tickets directly at the bus station (only cash) or call them to reserve seats (You might need a Vietnamese friend to help you call since they can't speak foreign languages you know...).
