Is it worth it? You answer yourself!

Well, actually this tour is only included with pick up from Ben Tre. The reason for this is that, you see, Saigon is 90km away from Ben Tre, it takes 2.5 hours per way and 5 hours both ways to travel. And this boat trip only lasts for 1.5 hours. So we think it is too rush and not-worthy to create a tour like that.
However, we had receive several bookings where our guests are willing to travel from Saigon to us by themselves (a taxi or public bus) just to do this boat trip and then head back to Saigon after that, and gladly they still felt satisfied at then. They thought it's a worthy time to have some quiet, relaxing, connect-to-nature moments after those busy, lousy, city days in Saigon.
Therefore, yes it's possible for you to do that too. And if you want, we can share you several bicycles available at our place and you can bike around the nearby village for a bit to enjoy the peaceful countryside after or before you do the boat trip.

While we try our best to arrange instant bookings, but we would suggest to make a reservation at least 1 day ahead.
You see, every sailboat trip depends on river conditions, weather, and driver availability. We’re a small, non-commercial team with just three boats, scheduled in turns—so planning ahead helps us give you the best possible experience.

Honestly, there’s no exact answer. See, the Mekong River in Ben Tre goes up and down twice a day, with two high tides and two low tides. We usually prefer arranging boat trips during high tide because it’s easier and better to navigate, and the scenery feels fuller and greener.
But low tide has its own charm too. It’s not less beautiful, just different. You’ll get to see the roots of the nipa palm trees and really notice how tall and impressive the leaves are. Many guests find this view surprisingly fascinating.

So how should you choose?

The easiest way is to chat with us one day before your trip. As locals, we somewhat understand the river, the weather, and the daily water flow, and we’ll help you pick the best time for the boat trip.
However, if your schedule is tight and you can only go either in the morning or either in the afternoon, no worries at all, just tell us your preferred time. We’ll check the conditions and let you know if we still can arrange it for you.
