NonTOURISTIC, AUTHENTIC FOOD, DIVERSE ADVENTURES

"This Mekong Delta tour was one of the highlights of my family’s trip to Vietnam, top day of all for some! Dzung was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the region. We loved how it focused on low-tourist, authentic areas. We visited quiet villages, local markets, and waterways that felt untouched and real, not staged for visitors. The pace was relaxed, the scooter drivers were awesome, the experiences felt meaningful, and we all learned so much about daily life in the Delta and of course coconuts."

From Tara D'Arcy

"This tour absolutely blew away any other I've ever done. It wasn't like being a tourist at all; it felt like exploring with an old friend. She (the tour guide) whisked me away on her scooter to her favorite street food stalls, the hidden market gems where she gets the freshest produce, and even to some local homes (completely unplanned – they were as surprised as I was!). I could suggest things off the beaten path, and she, with her insider knowledge of the area and language, could make it happen."

Thanks to all lovely customers, our tours gained 5 stars on all platforms.

Detailed Itinerary

1. Pick up and Scooter ride through Ben Tre countryside

  • Pick up in Ben Tre city

  • Meet your English-speaking guide in Ben Tre city.

  • Ride alongside a skilled driver on a scooter, discover the charming rural Mekong.

  • Visiting local mat-weaving/ coconut village to learn about the Mekong life.

2. Savor a delicious Mekong lunch at a natural landscape

  • Just like a real family meal, our chef goes to the morning market, picks whatever looks best that day, and cooks with creativity and heart. The food is entirely local — nothing commercialized or pre-set. Neither you nor I will know what’s on the menu until the dishes are served on the table.

  • Of course, if you have any food restrictions, just let us know in advance so the chef can make the right adjustments.

  • To truly understand the Mekong, you have to rest like the locals do. Midday in this region can get quite hot, and it’s common for people here to take a nap. So go ahead — stretch out and relax on a hammock by the homestay veranda where you’ll have lunch. By the end of the day, you’ll find yourself refreshed, not tired, even after a full day of activities.

3. Sail boat cruise on Mekong River

  • We use small sailboats, specially designed to weave through the narrow canals of the Mekong. They still need to be navigated with an engine, but overall they’re much, much quieter than the typical tourist boats in Mekong Delta.

  • Beyond just the small yet comfortable boat, only with us can you lean back on soft beanbags — instead of hunching over in a rowboat — and fully enjoy the view of nipa palms arching overhead to form lush green tunnels along the canals. Our boats are completely open and roofless, designed for you to take in the scenery without barriers. Of course, that also means when crossing larger rivers, you might get a few minutes of strong sunlight, or need to pop open an umbrella if a sudden rain shower appears.

  • You might be afraid that you will be on a small canal full of other tourists boats. No, you won't see any. We choose this quiet waterway for that reason.

4. Local market and street food

  • People are often delighted when they suddenly find themselves weaving through the market on the back of a motorbike — down narrow lanes lined with piles of vegetables, fruits, and dried goods on both sides. We’re not trying to impress you; that’s simply how we do our daily shopping. You’ll also get to see just how rich, vibrant, and delicious the produce of the Mekong Delta truly is.

  • Pancakes, noodles, or fruits — we know exactly where to find the most delicious and clean local spots. From our experience, you won’t even need to plan for dinner afterward.

4. Conclude and Drop off

  • Complete the day  and Drop you off at your hotel/homestay in Ben Tre city

Note:

  • The order of activities during the day may be adjusted flexibly, depending mainly on the weather and the water levels that best suit the boat trip. Your job is simply to go with the flow.
